It's possible I'm not the target audience for these stories. As others have said, it's hit or miss depending on the quality of the writer. However, because each issue is made up of two stories, nothing really happens in any of the stories. There's not enough time to build up to anything interesting and the resolution of the "stories" are fairly quick. I used to like the Thing's Marve Two-In-One and Spider-Man Marvel Team Up. These are about 10 page stories. They are sold as just kind of fun team ups and the first issue is likeable. But the better stories lately in Marvel have been stories that involve an arc.Issue #1. Capt. America and Cable. Dan Slott. The best story in the whole book.Hulk & Wolverine. Jeph Loeb. This also was well done.Issue #2. Bachalo. Rogue and Black Widow. Good.Peter David - Iron Man & Kitty Pryde. Also good.Issue #3 - Jason Aaron. Black Panther and Storm. I love Jason Aaron, but this is what I'm talking about. There's not a lot of room to tell a story.James Asmus - Hawkeye & Gambit. Meh.Issue #4 0 Kaare Andrews - Beast & Spider-Man. Eh.Jason Latour - Cpt. America & Quentin Quire. cute.Issue #5 - Immonen - Iron Fist & Doop. Great concept but joke is Doop says disgusting things that the reader can't understand and Iron Fist understands.Gillen - Loki & Mr. Sinister - Loki makes a Facebook reference (even though I thought this story should have taken place in Victorian England).Issue #6 . Cpt. Mavel (new) & Wolverine - Wolverine again?Thing & Gambit. Gambit again?Not buying this again.There are so many great books out there. This is only as good as the short stories. Read something else.
